Hours before voting in Karnataka, the Congress alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was sending people from Goa to Karnataka. Sharing a video of a bus, the Congress asked whether illegal money was being transported, or whether it was aimed at bogus voting in the state.

Congress’s Randeep Singh Surjewala tagged the DGP of Karnataka and wrote, “What is happening at Whistling Woods Jungle Resort in Dandeli, Uttara Kannada district of Dandeli, Karnataka? Has Vishwajit Rane booked 6 rooms here? What is the purpose?
The BJP is looking to script history to retain its southern stronghold, while a combative Congress is making a comeback after the end of a high-octane campaign that was marked by a falling level of public discourse and the Bajrang Dal The issue escalated rapidly. Voting for 224 assembly seats in Karnataka began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm.
A total of 5,31,33,054 voters are eligible to cast their votes at 58,545 polling stations across the state. The major political parties in contention are the BJP, the Congress and the JD(S). The majority mark to form the government is 113 seats. The counting of votes will take place on May 13.
