Sugarcane price in Haryana increased by Rs 10, now it will be Rs 372 per quintal, Manohar Lal announced

Haryana The price of sugarcane has been increased by Rs 10. CM Manohar Lal announced this. Now the price of sugarcane in the state will be Rs 372 per quintal. Earlier, Agriculture Minister JP Dalal met Chief Minister Manohar Lal and handed over the report of the Reconsideration Committee on the State Suggested Price of Sugarcane for 2022-23. During this, all concerned officers including Additional Chief Secretary Sumita Mishra were present.

CM said that last year our sugarcane rate was 362, the rate of sugar has not increased yet, the central government declared FRP of Rs 305. In the Vidhansabha, we had announced to constitute under the chairmanship of the Agriculture Minister to suggest the rate of sugarcane. Now this year’s sugarcane rate will be Rs.372. CM said that next year also we will increase the rate of sugarcane.

CM said that we have increased the capacity of Karnal and Panipat mills, we will try to increase the recovery of sugar. We upgraded mills by setting up ethanol plant in Shahabad, Yamunanagar, power plant in Narayangarh. The CM has appealed to the sugarcane farmers to take their sugarcane to the mills so that the mills can start functioning from tomorrow.

He said that the mustard crop has suffered damage due to cold, from the fifth date we will get its regular girdawari done. The pay scale of Patwaris has been upgraded to 32100 by one grade.

The price is only Rs 350 a quintal in UP
In Haryana, the government has announced to constitute a committee to increase the price of sugarcane. But, till now no discussion has started regarding this in UP. In view of the inflation, the farmers of UP are demanding to increase the price of sugarcane by Rs 400 per quintal. Right now the lowest price here is only Rs 350 per quintal. Farmers are hopeful that after the increase in prices in Haryana, the government will do something in UP as well. Because this is the biggest sugarcane producer. Last year in UP, the government had increased the price by Rs 25 per quintal.

Pushpendra Singh, president of Kisan Shakti Sangh, says that at present the cost of cultivation has increased so much that the sugarcane producer at a price of less than Rs.400 will not benefit. If the Punjab government can increase the prices for its farmers, preparations can be made in Haryana, then why not in Uttar Pradesh. After increasing the FRP (Fair and Remunerative Price) of sugarcane by the Center and Punjab’s bet, now the farmers of UP also want an increase in the price.

FRP has also increased
The central government has already fixed FRP for the sugarcane season 2022-23 starting from October. 15 per quintal was increased. After this, the minimum price of sugarcane given by sugar mills has been Rs.305 per quintal. But this price is available on 10.25% sugar recovery. Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab fix their own price apart from FRP. Which is called State Advisory Price (SAP).
