President Murmu: President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Bengal from today, will attend the convocation ceremony of Visva-Bharati

President Draupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to West Bengal from today. She will visit Bengal for the first time after becoming the President. During this, she will go to Shantiniketan to attend the annual convocation ceremony of Visva-Bharati. According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President will visit Netaji Bhavan in Kolkata on Monday to pay homage to Subhash Chandra Bose.

After this she will visit Jorasanko Thakurbari, home of Rabindranath Tagore and pay homage to him. On Monday evening, the President will attend a civic reception at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.

President Murmu will visit Belur Math on Tuesday, the second day of Bengal tour. Apart from this, she will also attend the function to celebrate the completion of 80 years of UCO Bank in Kolkata. The President will then proceed to Shantiniketan, where she will attend the annual convocation ceremony of Visva-Bharati.

According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President will visit Netaji Bhavan in Kolkata on Monday to pay homage to Subhash Chandra Bose. After this she will visit Jorasanko Thakurbari, home of Rabindranath Tagore and pay homage to him.
