The shops have been closed in Indore from April 1. Crowds have started appearing more in bars and pubs. The officers were getting information about the pubs being open till late night. When the team of officers reached to check the pubs on Saturday night, even after the scheduled time, people were seen drinking liquor at the pubs.
Amidst loud music, jams were being spilled and young men and women were stumbling drunk. The pubs found open after 11.30 am were closed by the officers. Food samples were also taken from the bar, which were sent to the laboratory for testing. The investigation team included the team of Municipal Corporation, Police Department and Food Department along with SDM Anshul Khare.
Bar was running without fire extinguisher, closed
During the investigation, the officers did not find fire extinguishers in the Tiktokto bar. Nor were adequate fire safety equipment seen in the bar. The officers stopped the operation of the bar. During the investigation, Gumashta license, fire safety certificate and food samples were taken from all the pubs.
