Bike-borne miscreants looted a purse from a woman going with her brother on Sunday night at 8 pm in Bargadhi of Gulriha police station area in Gorakhpur district. While chasing the miscreants, the bike of the victim’s brother slipped in the sand on the roadside, injuring him. He was rushed to the medical college.

According to the information, Vandana, a resident of Natwa Jungle of Shyamdeurwa police station area of ​​Maharajganj, had come to her maternal home in Budadih of Gulriha police station area on Sunday. At around eight o’clock in the night, she was going to her in-laws house riding a bike with her brother Indrakesh.

Just now she had reached Bargadhi located on Gorakhpur-Maharajganj forelane that the bike rider miscreants coming from behind, looted the purse from the woman and fled. There were five thousand cash in the purse as well as ATM card, two mangalsutras, mobile phone and other documents.

After the incident, Indrakesh, who was driving the bike, dropped his sister and started chasing the miscreants. He had gone some distance that he got trapped in the sand thrown on the side of the forelane. Due to this he got injured. On the other hand, someone informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and took the injured to the medical college.
