The National Highway was blocked indefinitely on Sunday in response to an ultimatum given by the long-standing Bahibal Insaaf Morcha demanding justice in the 2015 Bargari sacrilege and related Bahibal Kalan and Kotkapura shootings.

Bahibal Insaf Morcha was started by Sukhraj Singh Niyamiwala, son of Krishna Bhagwan Singh, who was killed in the firing on 16 December 2021, in collaboration with Sikh Sangat.
On completion of one year, it was announced to start the next struggle in Bahibal Kalan on 15 December 2022 and the highway was also blocked. But due to no satisfactory action in this regard, first the Sikh Sangat gathered on Sunday and then, starting the upcoming struggle, blocked the highway for an indefinite period.
During this, Sukhraj Singh Niyamiwala said that he has given long time to the governments and now he has no other option but to struggle. Now Sikh Sangat will not back down And the struggle will continue till justice is served.
