Big accident in Punjab: Truck crushed the devotees going to Shri Khuralgarh Sahib to celebrate Vaisakhi, seven died

A major accident took place in Punjab late on Wednesday at around 1.30 pm. The truck crushed the pilgrims going on foot to celebrate Baisakhi at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the holy place of Guru Ravidas. Seven died in the accident. The accident happened on Khuralgarh road.

According to the information, on the occasion of Vaisakhi, Sangat was going to visit Charanchoh Ganga on foot from Shri Khuralgarh Sahib. Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind crushed the devotees. Four people died on the spot while 13 were seriously injured. The injured were taken to Government Hospital Garhshankar where three more people succumbed to their injuries. Five seriously injured have been referred to PGI Chandigarh. The dead include Rahul (25), Sudesh Pal (48), Ramo (15), Geeta Devi (40), Unnati (16). All are residents of Muzaffarnagar, UP and Jindalpur Bhadas.
