Arbaaz, who was involved in the Umesh Pal murder case, was killed in an encounter by the police on Monday afternoon near Nehru Park in Sulem Sarai of Dhumanganj police station area of Prayagraj. His accomplice fled from the spot. Three days ago, Umesh Pal, the main witness in the MLA Raju Pal murder case, was killed by miscreants near his house. Arbaaz, a bounty shooter in the Umesh Pal murder case, has been killed in an encounter.
Arbaz, a resident of Sallahpur in Pooramufti, was one of the very special people of Atiq Ahmed. He used to drive the car of Atiq’s second son Ali. After Ali went to jail, he started driving Ahjam and Aban’s car.
Along with driving the car of both the sons, Arbaaz used to stand in security as well. Arbaaz’s father Aafaq used to play the same role with Atiq. Father Afaq used to walk with Atiq like a shadow when he was away. He used to stay with Atiq day and night.
Arbaaz’s criminal record is being ascertained. According to the police, Arbaaz had not only driven the car on the day of the incident, but had also fired. Then from there he came to Chakia with the shooters.
Bounty shooter of Umesh Pal murder case killed in encounter, Inspector injured

On Monday, the SOG and police team laid siege after getting information about Arbaaz being near Nehru Park, who took the shooters to the spot in the Creta car used in the Umesh Pal murder case. On being surrounded by the police, he started running away with one of his companions on the bike. He also started firing at the police.
A bullet hit the hand of Dhumanganj Inspector Rajesh Maurya. After this the policemen also opened fire on him. In retaliatory firing, Arbaz fell on the spot, while his accomplice fled from the spot.
Arbaaz and injured Inspector Rajesh Maurya were immediately taken to Swarooprani Nehru Hospital, where doctors declared Arbaaz brought dead. On information, Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma and ADCP Akash Kulhari along with other officers went to the spot as well as the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured inspector. Arbaaz, who was involved in the Umesh Pal murder case, was killed in a police encounter. Search is on for other accused.
