Acid attack on mother-son at 9 pm on Saturday night in Viram Khand of Gomtinagar, Lucknow. Both were seriously burnt. Hearing the screams, the people around gathered. Police was informed. At the same time, both the injured have been admitted to the civil hospital. The police have registered a case against the unknown. The attackers are being searched through CCTV footage.
In Viram Khand-3, Vikas Verma, Vicky and his mother Anita Verma live with the family. Two unknown youths knocked on the door at 9.30 pm on Saturday night. When mother opened the door, Vikas also came from behind. Suddenly both the boys ran away after throwing acid. Akash alias Vicky Verma told that it was about 9 o’clock in the night.

After opening the door of the mother, unknown youths said to call Vicky and Vikas. As soon as younger brother Vikas came out of the house on hearing the call, he doused him with inflammable substance.

When the brother and mother raised an alarm to save them, the accused fled from the spot. With the help of neighbours, both have been admitted to Lohia Hospital.
Two suspects seen in CCTV
According to in-charge Inspector Gomti Nagar Dinesh Chandra Mishra, footage of CCTV cameras are being investigated after filing a case. It is visible in the CCTV installed in a house in the locality that shortly before the incident, two boys were taking one bottle each. His face is not clear. because both are face down, The accused are being searched on the basis of the footage.
